Sumerset Houseboats

Now Accepting Orders For Spring/Summer 2010 Sumerset Houseboats is taking a proactive step to avoid margin erosion and allow a glut of finished inventory to clear out during the second half of 2009. Sumerset Houseboats will be extending their regular summer shut down to include a period of downtime for production.

"This downtime is part of managing the houseboat industry sales cycle, and we view it as an opportunity to prepare for the 2010 Boat Show Season. All indications point toward a recovery to better times for the houseboat industry in 2010; and in preparing for the economic recovery, Sumerset will start accepting orders for the model year 2010 with delivery in the spring and summer boating season of calendar 2010."

— Steve Lochmueller, President and CEO Sumerset Houseboats Corporate Headquarters and showroom will be unaffected by the production downtime and will remain open on the regular schedule, so plan to visit today. Sumerset Houseboats also plans to participate in the 2009 Houseboat In-Water EXPO at State Dock in September. Make plans to visit us and tour our most luxurious creation to date.
